Alexander J. Wysocki
|
Alex stepped into Catch Your Breath Productions deeper than even before as Cinematographer on both The Death of Daniel Whately as well as Anchor Eddy's. Dave had wanted a very different look for the films beginning with Whately, and gave Alex enormous artistic freedom to make that possible. The result are more quality stories with vivid characters, plus a new 16mm style that brings a fresh energy the screen. Alex graduated from at Ithaca College in upstate New York as a film production major. He has worked on over 50 short films, including 7 of his own. While spending time in Los Angeles, he had internships on both The Bernie Mac Show as a camera assistant, and on Saw, an Indie horror flick, as a production assistant. He also worked on the FOX series Prison Break. Brief cameos on screen include Mystery Date #1 in Anchor Eddy's, an actor in Daniel Whately's movie in The Death of Daniel Whately, the sleazy porn director in Detour, and as a spelling bee audience member in an episode of The Bernie Mac Show. Having known each other since high school and having both become filmmakers, it was only a matter of time before the two teamed-up for a project. "The Death of Daniel Whately was pure adventure from the first "action" to the last "cut". Dave and I learned a lot from each other during this process.", says Alex. |
