Devon McArdle

Any past acting experience?
I've been acting since I was a little kid in various different venues. Most recently I graduated from the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School in Hadley and I am currently a theatre major at UMass Amherst.

Is acting a career choice or do you have other plans?
I would love to go into acting as a career, but there are several other things I would like to do considering how hard it is to make a career in theatre. Right now my other biggest interests are law and political science.

Any particular scene(s) in the shooting of THIS movie that were your favorite or least favorite to do?
Shooting the fight scene in the rain on a cold day was by far my least favorite scene. I was so cold that I couldn't remember my lines and I kept getting water in my eyes and there were all these hornets just hanging around in a big swarm even though it was about 40 degrees out....yes it was definitely my least favorite scene.

Similarities or major differences between you and your character?
There are some similarities between me and Renee but I think that I am more aware of what I want in my life than she is. Funnily enough Alex Leger (who played Willy) and I have a very similar relationship in real life.

Are there any paricular actor(s) or actress(es) that are your particulare favorites or that you find inspirational?
One of my personal favorites is Kate Beckinsale, I've admired her acting since she was doing smaller British films, long before she starred in Pearl Harbor. I also think that Gillian Anderson is pretty inspiring as a single mother who managed to make a wonderful career for herself. And of course I can never forget Sarah Michelle Gellar (but really only as Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

And finally, A movie that's essential to any video or DVD collection in your opinion is...?
Oh this one is a toughie...I think one of my all time favorites is Cold Comfort Farm. It's a very heartwarming movie that revolves around a London Socialite (Kate Beckinsale) who is trying to improve her strange relatives.
