Devon McArdle

Born in Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton Massachusetts, Devon lived in the same house in Whately, MA from the time she was born until the fall of 2001 when she moved onto the UMass Amherst campus as a freshman college student. Interested in theatre ever since she was a child, Devon has always made an effort to be involved in it, from taking summer school theatre classes in elementary school, to being a part of the drama club in junior high, to choosing to attend the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School, and to pursuing a B.A. in Theatre from UMass Amherst.

Of working in film, Devon says, "Getting to work with Dave on Goodbye to You was a wonderful experience for me since I have always wanted to work in the medium of film as well as stage, and he gave me my first chance with it." At UMass she was involved in several small studio productions directed by graduate students, and one small role in a production of Love's Labours Lost in the UMass Rand Theatre. She has spent time in England, and has recently developed a strong interest in political science.
