Sean Mulkerne
|
Sean Mulkerne got his start in acting in a seventh grade musical at Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School in Utica, NY. Since that time, Sean has acted in various plays, musicals, cabarets, improv shows, and films for over six years in high school, college, and in community theatre. Sean received recognition for various roles including Major-General Stanley in "The Pirates of Penzance" and Sydney Carton in "A Tale of Two Cities." As a member of the Hartford Players Youth Theatre, based in New Hartford, NY, Sean was seen as Nick in "The Guys," the tale of a 9/11 fire captain who has to write the eulogies for his fallen firemen lost in the attacks, and more recently as Caldwell B. Cladwell in "Urinetown." Sean currently attends Union College in Schenectady, NY, and is an active member of the theater program there. He was Lysander in the college's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and played Roman Davida in the original student work, "Dead Lovebug." Sean is a member of the Union College Mountebanks, the longest-running student theatre group in the country, and since entering college has been involved with many other theatrical and film works. "Anchor Eddy's" was Sean's first film production. He is very proud of the results and hopes to work with CYB Productions and other film production groups in the future. He credits director Dave Dellecese with helping him become a more developed film actor, as this process can be radically different from a typical stage production. Sean hopes that audiences enjoy "Anchor Eddy's."
Sean is a Political Science major and History minor at Union College and hopes to attend law school upon graduation. |
